Since there haven't been any updates since I got iToner, I was unable to test this. And, according to Ambrosia, ringtones installed with iToner will continue to work with future iPhone OS updates. I've imported more than a dozen custom ringtones already and iToner has performed flawlessly each and every time. When iToner finishes doing its thing, tap your iPhone's Settings button, Sounds button, and then its Ringtone button and select a new custom ringtone. Just drag MP3 or M4A files onto its iPhone-like interface, click the Sync button, and wait a few seconds.

Its one trick, however, is a really good one-it lets you install custom ringtones on your iPhone as easy as 1-2-3 as you can see here:

IToner is an easy-to-use one-trick-pony of a Mac OS X application. So I was thrilled to learn that someone (namely Ambrosia Software) had introduced a totally Maclike way (iToner) to do it on a Mac. In my opinion, neither option is at all pretty. But until last week the only ways I knew of to do it involved heavy hacking of your phone or using iPhone Ringtone Maker under Windows (blech). If you're an iPhone owner there's no doubt you've wished your iPhone allowed you to import custom ringtones. When you think of Jesus Jones, chances are you can't remember them at all, or you vaguely remember "Right Here, Right Now" because it has been use A brilliant vocalist, scatter, and interpreter of jazz and blues, Williams produces music that's totally unique, yet sounds so effortl Joe Williams was Figure Two in my three-man education in singing.

Quadrophenia is everything that Tommy wanted to be, a rock opera that told a story, but one where every song could still stand alone. When I first got hooked to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the only place I could get their debut album, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, was through the band's Web site. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. But then, as soon as I tried adding a new file, it crashed again and I was right back in the same situation.Īny thoughts? I've sent all of my crash reports to Apple. On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. At last, iTunes didn't crash after giving me the "Checking iTunes Library" message. I did at one point have luck trashing the iTunes preference file and then reopening. Too many spinning beach balls for one 24 hr period. I tried going into the Amazon downloader and changing my preferences, but this opens and crashes iTunes-and then crashes the Amazon downloader. I thought maybe it was Apple screwing with Amazon but I just tested with another album I recently bought on emusic and got the same result. (The other tries would result in a crash.) I would get one song in out of every maybe 10 tries. Not this time! I was able to add individual songs by trying over and over and over. I would just use the "Add File" function in iTunes to add the freaking file. Apparently I trashed my Amazon cookies so that instead of adding the files automatically to my iTunes library the songs were added to another folder in my Music folder. I have wasted way too much time since last night trying to add one single album that I downloaded legally from.
